Every year, radio3 from rbb and the Literaturhaus Berlin award the Walter Serner Prize for Short Stories, thereby honouring the memory of the writer and Dadaist Walter Serner, who was murdered by the Nazis in 1942.

This year, the jury was looking for a short story that incorporated the following sentence by the writer as elegantly as possible: »Where there is Ernst, the frogs gather«.
