Rent our rooms for guest events
Public guest events must deal with literary and cultural topics that are broadly in line with the programme focus of the Literaturhaus Berlin. The management of the Literaturhaus decides whether events are included in the guest programme.
Individual organisers may book a maximum of six dates per year. Regular events must be scheduled at least three months in advance. Last-minute changes to venue allocation within the Literaturhaus may be necessary.
Cultural venue rent
Non-public literary and cultural events or meetings organised by charitable associations, public institutions, small foundations, organisations and projects that are not promoted by the Literaturhaus Berlin. The hire fee is subject to negotiation.
Commercial venue rent
Non-public commercial or private events organised by companies or private individuals. The hire price is negotiable.

Each additional hour or part thereof: €40 Plus a cleaning fee of €75 Plus technical support/evening supervision where applicable: €30/hour Plus hire of technical equipment where applicable: prices on request

All prices for additional services are subject to VAT at the statutory rate.

Room capacities vary depending on seating arrangements and are available on request.
The rooms are let ready for use, i.e. including seating, heating, general lighting, and cleaning. The großer Saal (Main Hall) can accommodate a maximum of 80 chairs (in rows), the Kleiner Saal (Small Hall) 50 chairs, and the Kaminzimmer (Fireplace Room) 70 chairs. Round and rectangular tables can also be provided.
Please note that the Main and Small Halls on the first floor are primarily used for the Literaturhaus’s own events and exhibitions. Decisions regarding the allocation of these rooms to guest organisers can therefore only be made at the earliest four weeks before the start of a two-month programme (the two-month programmes generally begin in January, March, May, September and November). The Fireplace Room can generally be booked further in advance.
Apartments
The Literaturhaus has two apartments available for guests, which may also be rented by private individuals. The apartments are equipped with a shower/WC, a kitchenette with a fridge and a television. Wi-Fi access is available. The apartments are not fully accessible to people with disabilities.
The price per apartment (including cleaning, bed linen and towels) is €80 for single occupancy and €100 for double occupancy (double bed).
