Internationale Strahlkraft aus Berlin: Der Hauptstadtkulturfonds

The Capital City Culture Fund was conceived in 1995 by the Berlin Council for the Arts and called for by politicians. Established in 1999, we can now look back on a success story spanning almost thirty years! The Capital City Culture Fund is currently being renegotiated as part of the talks on the Capital City Financing Agreement – a significant increase in funding is urgently needed to ensure that Berlin continues to produce excellent and innovative culture over the next ten years that can shine on the international stage. Together with our guests, we will discuss this unique approach to cultural funding and highlight its significance through artistic perspectives.
